Hon. Yakubu Ahmed is the first Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Persons With Disability (PWD) to His Excellency Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya (Dan Majen gombe), the Executive Governor of Gombe State. Born on October, 10, 1987 in Kumbiya Kumbiya Ward Gombe, Yakubu Ahmed attended Central Primary School, Gombe and Government Secondary School Mallam Sidi. He is a graduate of Political Science from Gombe State University (2013). He is now doing his MPA in the Department of Public Administration of the same institution. Yakubu started his career as an Administrative Assistant in Gombe State University and has risen to the rank of Administrative Officer as a Registry Staff posted to the National Secretariat of the Gombe State University Alumni Association where he has made his marks in the effective management of the GSU Alumni Secretariat...

Yakubu ventured into active polics in 2019 when he contested for Member, Gombe State House of Assembly Presenting Gombe Southt Constuency but lost at the primary election. Yakubu became the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Gombe State Assembly Contestants Forum. Yakubu attended many conferences, workshops and leadership training in Nigeria. He is a member of a number professional bodies like the Nigerian Institution of Management, Association of Professional Administrators, among others. He has received some awards, including the Award of Excellence by the Students Representatives Council, SRC and the Most Deserving Graduating Student in Gombe State University in 2013.
